Econovent Exhaust Canopies

Econovent Exhaust Canopies

EconoVent canopies incorporate a supply air slot along their length.

The slot shoots a jet stream of air towards a bank of filters, drawing air from outside the canopy in a process called induction.

The induction process serves to minimise the incidence of smoke and steam overspill into the kitchen, trapping the smoke and steam within the hood area until it is exhausted.

The ability to inject untempered air into the canopy as part of the extraction process greatly reduces the amount of conditioned air that is exhausted to the environment and significantly reduces overall running costs of the kitchen.

The supply air is up to a maximum 70% of the exhaust air quantity which is calculated as per the Australian standard AS1668.2.

See Air Flow Calculator for exact calculations.
