UV-C lamps and Ozone technologies by Jimco KPC for Rayson Industries -
The smarter, greener choice
This environmentally friendly system (above, marked '1') is a must for every commercial kitchen.
This breakthrough technology greatly reduces the risk of fire and minimises duct cleaning - actually eliminating the need for regular cleaning ! Here's how:
- The UV-C lamps, surrounded by a stainless steel frame is placed behind the grease filters and reacts with the oxygen in the extract air to produce 'O-zone'.
- This combination of UV-C light and Ozone reacts with the grease and odours producing carbon dioxide, water vapour and polymerised grease (dust).
But its work doesn't stop there - vapours and grease elimated, the system 'self-cleans' by maintaining trace ozone to continually destroy fats and grease within the ductwork. The obvious advantage is that traditional filtration problems are abolished (not to mention the need for chemicals or deoderising oils) for a cleaner, cheaper grease control system - meaning commercial kitchens can get back to doing what they do best. Cooking!
It is recommended after 8000 running hours (or after every two years) UV-C lamps be replaced. Rayson also offer lamp maintenence service, recommended every six months.
UV-C lamps come in a variety of kilowatt outputs and lengths.
